Amendments to Saskatchewan’s Tobacco control Act were passed unanimously by the Legislative Assembly today which means the sale of vaping devices and products can’t be sold to anyone under 18 and the products can’t be displayed in businesses where young people have access. It has the same restrictions as tobacco legislation, but also includes the higher age limit.
Health Minister Jim Reiter, says how to best address flavoured vaping products will be looked at as well. It’s expected the amendments and supporting regulations will be in force in early 2020 once all the necessary supporting regulations are in order.
