The U of Saskatchewan Huskies football team continues pre-season preparations today as the defending Hardy Cup-champion Dogs open their 2022 Canada West Conference regular-season on Friday, September 2nd when they visit the Calgary Dinos. Saskatchewan’s home opener is Friday, September 9th when they host the U-B-C Thunderbirds. Game time is 7 p.m. at Griffiths Stadium.

The Canadian Men’s Mid-Amateur and Mid-Master Golf Championships continue and wind up today in Thornhill, Ontario. The 35th Canadian Men’s Mid-Amateur is for competitors aged 25 and over while the Mid-Master is for golfers aged 40 and over. Four Saskatchewan golfers qualified for the final round, including Brett Henry and Danny Klughart of Prince Albert, plus Shaun Dunphy of Saskatoon.
The P-G-A of Canada’s Senior and Super Senior national championships continue and wrap up today in Medicine Hat. The field of 42 competitors includes Philip Jonas and Abe Buckle of Saskatoon. Today is the third and final round.
