Saskatoon Police had some trouble stopping a stolen vehicle overnight. It was first spotted about 11:40 at Avenue G and 36th Street. When officers tried to stop it, the vehicle fled. It was seen several more times during the night being driven at high rates of speed and disregarding traffic lights. Then, around one o’clock, a tire deflation device was used and the vehicle was stopped at Lansdowne Avenue and Ruth Street. The driver tried to run off but was stopped by the Canine Unit. The woman suffered dog bite injuries and was taken to hospital for stitches. The 25 year old faces multiple charges including dangerous driving, Evade Police and carrying a Concealed Weapon.
