The Saskatchewan Roughriders officially confirmed Monday morning, what T-S-N showed Friday evening from Vancouver when they interviewed Canadian receiver Brayden Lenius.
Lenius has signed to return to the Green and White. The 6’5″, 225-pound Regina product signed with the N-F-L’s Atlanta Falcons in January, but was released earlier this month. The 25-year-old Lenius was a second round pick in the 2019 C-F-L Draft and caught 37 passes for 471 yards and four touchdowns last year with the Riders.
In addition, Saskatchewan signed a pair of imports in running back Shaun Wilson and quarterback Levi Lewis. Following are the news releases from the Roughriders…..

BRAYDEN LENIUS RETURNS TO RIDERVILLE
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed National wide receiver Brayden Lenius.
Lenius (6’5-225lbs) returns to the Green and White after signing with the Atlanta Falcons in January. 2021 was a breakout year for the 25-year-old, who caught 37 receptions for 471 yards and four touchdowns and started in all 14 regular-season games. He added another six receptions for 43 yards in two playoff games. Lenius initially joined the Roughriders after being selected by the Club in the second round, fifteenth overall, of the 2019 CFL Draft. He played 11 games as a rookie, making two receptions.
The Regina native graduated from the University of New Mexico after spending the previous three years at the University of Washington. Throughout his four collegiate seasons, where he was used primarily as a tight end, Lenius recorded 581 career receiving yards and four touchdowns.

RIDERS ADD AMERICANS SHAUN WILSON AND LEVI LEWIS
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American running back Shaun Wilson and American quarterback Levi Lewis.
Wilson (5’9-185) signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and saw action in five games that season. He earned 29 rushing yards on six attempts and added 122 yards on seven kick returns. He also spent time with the Washington Commanders in 2019 and spent part of the 2020 season with the Tennessee Titans. Most recently, the 26-year-old spent time with the B.C. Lions in 2021.
Wilson played four collegiate seasons (2014-17) at Duke University. The former Blue Devil recorded 475 carries for 2,463 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns and added 81 receptions for 725 yards and six majors in 49 games. He was also a contributor on special teams, taking 67 kick returns for 1,697 yards and two touchdowns.
Lewis (5’10-184) was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 NFL Draft and attended rookie camp with the team.
Collegiately, the 24-year-old spent five seasons (2017-21) at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. In 57 games, the former Ragin’ Cajun’ completed 721 passes for 9,203 yards, 74 touchdowns and 18 interceptions. He also earned 286 rushes for 1,088 yards and 14 touchdowns. Lewis left the school with a 35-7 record and is their career leader in passing touchdowns and ranks second in passing yards. He earned Second-Team All-Sun Belt honours following both the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
