After fireworks were shot off nightly at the Saskatoon Exhibition a few weeks back, the thrill of a nighttime display will be back again with the Nutrien Fireworks Festival taking over River Landing this Labour Day Weekend. The theme this year is Strength and Community Connections.

Shad Ali, one of the organizers behind the event says the two-day event will offer more than just the two firework displays. “Rotary Park, we will have all the jumpy toys which are free, they’ll have pony rides, we’ll have all kinds of games and activities. There’s an art and merchandise vendor market there as well.”

Friday’s festivities will get underway at 6 p.m. while Saturday will start earlier at 3 o’clock. Ali says the Chinese School of Dance will be among the groups performing. More information can be found on the Nutrien Fireworks Festival website.
