It was scheduled to happen early Monday morning but there were mechanical difficulties, and now NASA’s Orion spacecract and Space Launch System rocket is scheduled to take off at noon tomorrow (Saturday). It’s a test mission to the moon, which is unmanned. You can watch it on the Canadian Space Agency’s YourTube channel and Facebook page.

This marks a return to the moon after almost 50 years. The CSA calls it the beginning of a new era of lunar explorations. Following a successful Artemis I mission, a CSA astronaut will take part in Artemis II, the first crewed mission to the moon since Apollo 17 in 1972.
