King Charles and his two brothers and sister stood vigil around their mother’s coffin yesterday with their backs to the coffin and heads bowed for 11 minutes and today Queen Elizabeth’s eight grandchildren will do the same.
A statement from Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who will be part of the vigil today, on the Royal Family twitter account is as follows:
“You were our matriarch, our guide, our loving hand on our backs leading us through this world. You taught us so much and we will cherish those lessons and memories forever.”
King Charles and Prince William visited the London Police Special Operations Room today meeting with officers involved with the complex security and policing operation with two thousand dignitaries and world leaders expected to attend the Queen’s funeral on Monday.
