The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged a Regina man with Luring a Child and Breach of Undertaking.
Last Friday (Sept 16) a search warrant was executed and electronic devices were located for further examination.
The suspect allegedly posted numerous signs in the Regina area offering to trade hockey and Pokeman cards. The victim in this case responded to one of the ads.
The ICE Unit believes there may be more victims and they are encouraging anyone to come forward and make a report. Parents are being asked to discuss safety precautions with their children.
Forty-four-year-old Jared Babey of Regina was held in custody and will make his first court appearance in Regina today.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service.
