Prince Albert Police Service says its Crime Reduction Team seized drugs and cash as well as a loaded hand gun after executing a search warrant at a home on Friday morning.
The police investigation descended on the 1900 block of 13th Street where police say they located drug packaging materials, including multiple baggies and two functioning digital scales. The amount of drugs seized included nearly 60 grams of cocaine, more than 130 grams of crack cocaine, and just over 70 grams of methamphetamine as well as more than $6,000 cash and ammunition.
Twenty-eight-year-old Modi Lako of Prince Albert, Yasin Ali, 27-years-old, of Edmonton and 22-year-old Shyrell Nyack are jointly charged. The three men face charges so far of possession of the proceeds of crime, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, careless use of a firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Meanwhile, Prince Albert Police say they arrested a 41-year-old man on an outstanding warrant for being unlawfully at large. That was back on September 5th in the 1200 block of 6th Avenue West. Police say he tried to flee on a bike but was arrested nearby.
Upon further investigation by the Prince Albert Police Service’s Crime Reduction Team, police say they located 56 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of cash, a functioning digital scale, and a cell phone. Roderick Gardner is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in connection with this investigation.
