R-C-M-P have issued warrants for the arrest of a 22-year-old Yorkton man who has been on the run from them while driving a truck.
Clayton Fenwick (pictured) may be in the Yorkton or Regina area or other communities in the East-Central part of Saskatchewan. He is described as being 5’10” inches tall, weighing 155 pounds with brown hair and green eyes plus multiple tattoos on his face and neck. R-C-M-P investigators believe he may be injured, which may affect how he walks, but that has not been confirmed.
The pursuit of Fenwick began on September 12 at about 9:30 a.m. when Melville R-C-M-P attempted a traffic stop in Melville, only to have the vehicle flee at a high rate of speed. As it was driving away, a number of items fell from the truck with investigators learning that some were reported stolen from Melville the previous night. Later on September 12, at about 3 p.m., Yorkton R-C-M-P spotted the same truck that evaded Melville R-C-M-P and attempted a traffic stop on Parkview Road in Yorkton. The vehicle didn’t stop and continued to drive at a high rate of speed in a school area with students present at the end of the school day. Officers chose not to follow for safety reasons, however they saw the same truck at 6 p.m. and attempted a traffic stop on Independent Street. Once again, the truck didn’t stop and fled, running a number of red lights in the area.
R-C-M-P are actively trying to find Clayton Fenwick, who faces five different charges and seven total counts. The public is asked not to approach Fenwick if you see him, but to contact your local police service immediately or Crime Stoppers.
