Saskatoon Police have arrested and charged a woman following an attempted murder in the Meadowgreen neighbourhood.

Around 1:30 in the morning Sunday, police responded to the 300 block of Avenue Y South for a report of a stabbing. Once officers arrived, they identified the suspect and located the weapon involved.

The victim, a 28-year-old man was located a short distance away and was transported to hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.

The 36-year-old woman is facing a charge of attempted murder.
