The second person charged with first degree murder in the Meghan Gallagher case appeared in Saskatoon provincial court on Tuesday.
Twenty-nine-year-old Cheyann Crystal Peeteetuce was formally charged after being arrested in a Prince Albert jail on Monday where she was serving time on an unrelated matter.
Peeteetuce has made many court appearances over the years. She was sentenced to six years for a fatal 2014 crash that killed two teenagers and seriously injured one other in Saskatoon. Peeteetuce was impaired and driving a stolen vehicle at the time.
Megan Gallagher was last seen two years ago in Saskatoon. Her body has not been located. Twenty-seven-year-old Robert (Bobby) James Thomas is also charged with first degree murder. He was arrested last week in Prince George, BC.
Four others also faces a charge of committing an indignity to human remains.
