Regina Police responded to a report of an assault early this morning (Mon), where it had been reported a woman with a small child had entered a restaurant in the 400 block of Albert Street North and was then dragged away physically by a man. The investigation led to a nearby apartment and as police entered, the woman opened the door and requested help.
Officers say the woman had injuries consistent with assault. The young child was at the apartment, but didn’t appear to be physically injured. Police learned the man had previous conditions of a release order to have no contact with the woman, and were told that he had threatened further harm if she called out to police. Charges for the 23 year old include aggravated assault, forcible confinement and failing to comply with conditions of a release order.
