The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) says patients requesting a Release of Information (ROI) between 2015 and February 2022 may have received incomplete information.
Due to a computer settings error, staff in the former Saskatoon, Rural and Northern health regions were unaware they were unable to print Nursing Flowsheets.
Nursing Flowsheets are documents used to record specific patient care information while in hospital such as the patients’ general progress, weight, height, blood pressure, heart rate, respiration and temperature. Not all patient health records contain Nursing Flowsheets. Doctors and patient care providers had full access to the entire patient record to ensure safe, quality care.
The SHA says patients wanting personal health information between 2015 and the end of February of this year, can obtain a copy at no charge by contacting the facility where the original request was made. More information is available here.
