Prior to Tuesday evening, Harrison Meneghin had made two relief appearances for a total of 61 minutes played as a W-H-L goaltender. After Tuesday, the Saskatoon Blades are well aware of who Harrison Meneghin is as he stopped 28 shots and back-stopped the Lethbridge Hurricanes to a 3-1 triumph at SaskTel Centre.
The loss was the first in four games in the young 2022-23 regular-season for the Bridge City Bunch. The 2-1-0 Canes played a hard-working road game in which they took away time and space from the Blue and Gold. And, when that faltered, Meneghin was solid in goal for Lethbridge. He got all the support he needed from three second period goals from Logan Wormold – on a power play, Anton Astashevich and Tristan Zandee. Only Egor Sidorov (pictured) could beat the 18-year-old South Surrey, B-C, product with a man advantage tally late in the second period. The Blades were hoping to join the 1975-76 Saskatoon squad as the only teams in franchise history to start a season with four straight victories. Instead, the Bridge City Bunch will look to rebound on Wednesday and return to the win column when they visit the Moose Jaw Warriors. Game time is 7 o’clock with CJWW’s broadcast beginning at 6:45 p.m. Following are the game highlights, CJWW post-game show interviews with Blue and Gold head coach Brennan Sonne and defenceman Tanner Molendyk, plus the official game summary courtesy the W-H-L…..
