The province is providing $314 thousand for literacy programming and workforce development for job-seekers facing multiple barriers to employment in Saskatoon. The Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre will use the money to administer programs under the Creating Opportunities Strategy which supports under-represented populations in transition to employment. The government claims participants will leave the programs ready to complete their education or find long-term employment. The strategy serves clients who are 16 or older.
