A senior living in the Westmount neighbourhood knew she was getting a free Lennox furnace this morning (Wed), but she didn’t believe it until SaskWest Mechanical showed up at her door. One of the owners of SaskWest, Allan Awrey, explains that through Lennox’s Feel the Love program, a nominated recipient is chosen to receive the furnace and they deliver and install it.

The winner is chosen based on need, or as a thank you for their service, whether in the military or within their community or family.

This year’s Saskatoon and area winner is Elsie Stus. She says she was at a loss for words when she saw the furnace coming in to her home, even though she knew it was coming. Stoos considers this a big gift and thanks everyone involved saying, “God bless you all.”

Awrey explains that the Feel the Love program spans North America. In the Saskatoon area, SaskWest Mechanical installs the Feel the Love furnaces from Lennox. Nominations begin in the spring and then the recipient is chosen and the furnace is installed in the fall.
