The Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre (SFBLC) says it was a successful Milk Month Campaign in September.
Canpotex once again stepped up to provide $50,0000 in a matching campaign. The Food Bank says the support of the campaign has made it possible for the food bank to meet its goal every September and Executive Director Laurie O’Connor says it is a critical fundraiser for their organization providing their milk supply for the year.
Health Sciences Assocation of Saskatchewan kicked off the fundraiser with a $10,000 donation. The total amount raised for Milk Month this year is $126,966.62.
In 2021 the SFBLC distributed 68,363 litres of milk through its Milk for Children Program. The program also supports pregnant and nursing women in Saskatoon and area.
