The Saskatoon Friendship Inn estimates between 1,500 and 1,700 turkey dinners will be prepared on Monday.
Many of those dinners will be served at the Friendship Inn on 20th Street and Avenue G and others will be picked up and eaten elsewhere. The pickup service was used during the COVID-19 pandemic and was well-received.
Engagement manager Laura Herman estimates fifty turkeys will be needed to feed everyone.
Challenging economic times means it has been very busy at the Friendship Inn. Herman estimates over 40,000 meals were served in August and September.
Food donations for the Thanksgiving Dinner can be made through Sunday at the Friendship Inn—but financial donations can be made at any time by clicking here.
