It was a question of…Will he? Or, won’t he?…going into his practice participation Wednesday and those questions remain with regards to Cody Fajardo being at quarterback for the Saskatchewan Roughriders when they host Winnipeg in Sunday’s C-F-L West Division final.
Fajardo was running the first team offence and throwing some checkdown or screen passes during drills Wednesday. But, he didn’t attempt any full throws as the other Green and White pivots did. However, Fajardo said, barring a setback, he will play Sunday. Head coach Craig Dickenson said Thursday’s closed practice will be a big test for Fajardo and the injury. Fajardo didn’t play in the Green and White’s final regular-season game two weeks ago, nor did he take part in a practice last Friday because of an oblique injury.
