For the second time in less than a week, an inmate has died at the Regina Correctional Centre.
Back on Saturday, at about 7:17 a.m., a 23-year-old male inmate on remand was declared deceased after being found unresponsive in his cell. Life-saving measures attempted by Corrections staff and E-M-S were unsuccessful. No foul play is suspected at this time, next of kin have been notified and the death is not related to COVID-19. The R-C-M-P and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service have been notified and are investigating. The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety will also be conducting an internal investigation.
Back on October 12, a 46-year-old male inmate on remand was declared deceased. Sheldon Rosebluff was seriously injured and pronounced deceased on scene by E-M-S. The R-C-M-P said their investigation indicated two inmates were involved in a fight. The second person believed involved is 31-year-old Adrian Cote who was not injured and is now facing a charge of one count second degree murder. He will be back in court on October 25.
