Researchers at the University of Saskatchewan say SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA load in Saskatoon’s wastewater has dropped by 27.2 per cent. The amount of COVID-19 virus in the wastewater is considered “medium” and is the fourth consecutive decline in viral load.
In Prince Albert it has dropped by 45.4 per cent, P-A’s fifth consecutive decline. It is also the fifth consecutive decline for North Battleford which saw COVID-19 viral RNA drop 38.4 per cent in the most recent reading.
Both Prince Albert and North Battleford are also classified as “medium” for viral RNA load. The reporting period is compared to the weekly average of the previous week.
