Harrison Meneghen has three career W-H-L goaltending victories, two of them are against the Saskatoon Blades.
For the second time this season, the 18-year-old Meneghen put a stop to a Bridge City Bunch winning streak by stopping a large majority of Blue and Gold shots. On Saturday, Meneghen made 29 saves which allowed a pair of first period goals to stand up as enough as the Lethbridge Hurricanes, now 6-8-0 for the season, nipped the Blades 2-1, ending Saskatoon’s second multi-game winning streak of the young W-H-L season at seven games. Lukas Hansen was able to score in the second period, but that was as close as the Bridge City Bunch came to erasing a 2-0 deficit after the first period. Ethan Chadwick made 26 save in the loss. The Blue and Gold didn’t help themselves out by taking eight minor penalties which failing to score on four power play chances. The 10-3-0 Blades return to action Wednesday when they host the Tri-City Americans at 7 o’clock at SaskTel Centre. It’ll be the first game for Saskatoon against a Western Conference team in 1,011 days and the first time they play a U-S Division squad in 1,071 days. Following are the audio highlights from CJWW’s broadcast, Les Lazaruk’s Post-Game Show interview with head coach Brennan Sonne and the game summary courtesy the W-H-L…..
