The 22-year-old woman who was originally charged with Second Degree Murder in connection to the death of a 23-year-old woman Saturday will now be facing a charge of manslaughter.  She was slated to see a Justice of the Peace Saturday evening.

Saskatoon Police officers responded to a call at a business in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue South around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday.

A 23-year-old woman had life threatening injuries and despite efforts from paramedics, she died.

Police arrested a 22-year-old woman on the scene. The two individuals were known to each other.

The Serious Assault Unit and the Major Crime Section are investigating.
