After not being able to hold the Enchanted Forest Light Walk for two years because of the pandemic, it’s back between 5:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Friday night.
Director of Marketing for the BHP Enchanted Forest, Hugh Vassos, notes that there have been years where there was no snow on the ground for the Light Walk, but this year there is, and it makes for a more picturesque walk.
Participants can park their vehicles at the nearby church or school, and the Forestry Farm Hall will be available to warm up. Vassos says it’s a great event for families and for anyone who would like to take a walk through the lights. He adds that it’s a great night for photographers to get some shots as well.
Admission is $5 per person or $20 for immediate family members, and children five and under get in free. Vassos advises to stay on the roadway during the walk for safety reasons, dress for the weather and enjoy the lights. Proceeds from the Blue Cross Light Walk and the Enchanted Forest Drive-through tour go to the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation and
the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation.
