Egor Sidorov (pictured) has registered at least one point in all eight games he has played in, with the 18-year-old Belarus forward using the last shot of Friday’s game to extend his streak.
Sidorov sniped his ninth goal of the season 71 seconds into overtime to give the Saskatoon Blades a 4-3 decision over the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers. The rollicking back-and-forth tilt was tied for most of the contest in front of 3,106 fans at SaskTel Centre with neither team leading for more than eight minutes. Wearing jerseys sporting the “bridge” logo from the mid-to-late 1990s, the Bridge City Bunch improved their record to 15-4-0 by winning their fourth straight game, including all three thus far on a five-game homestand. Brandon Lisowsky, Vaughn Watterodt and Misha Volotovskii also tallied for the Blue and Gold – and silver and red on their Heritage Night gems. Former Blade Brenden Lee had a goal and assist for the 6-9-5 Tigers, who have yet to win when going beyond regulation time. Saskatoon is now idle until Friday and Saturday when they host the C-H-L’s top-ranked team, the Winnipeg ICE. Following is the official game summary, the audio highlights from CJWW’s broadcast and Post-Game Show interviews with head coach Brennan Sonne, Watterodt and Lisowsky…..
