Harvard Health suggests drinking plenty of fluids to rehydrate your system. As well, eat some carbs because drinking alcohol may lower your blood sugar. Take a pain reliever, but not Tylenol, which could irritate your already irritated stomach. Have some caffeine to help with the grogginess, and you might try some B vitamins and zinc.
Harvard Health quotes a small study which looked at what participants ate in the 24 hours before and after drinking. It found that people whose food and beverage consumption had greater amounts of zinc and B vitamins had less severe hangovers.
