The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan is warning investors about FNB Group Ltd, FNB Group Trading and an individual using the name Ben Williams, who calls himself a representative of FNB Group Trading. Dean Murrison with the FCAA says neither FNB name is registered to trade or sell securities in Saskatchewan. He cautions investors and consumers not to send money to companies that aren’t registered in Saskatchewan, saying they may not be legitimate. Murrison says, “The unfortunate rise in potentially fraudulent online investment opportunities means Saskatchewan investors have to exercise increased caution. Always check registration status and pay attention to red flags such as asking for access to your computer, which is a tactic frequently used by fraudsters.”
