A 43 year old man and a 25 year old woman have been charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, cocaine and GHB – the date rape drug.

On Saturday, police made a traffic stop in the 900 block of 1st Avenue North after officers say they witnessed activity characteristic of drug trafficking.

The two suspects were arrested on the scene and police seized from the vehicle: 97.6 grams of cocaine in three baggies, 18.9 grams of methamphetamine, cash and a cell phone.

A subsequent search warrant executed in the 40-block of DeGeer Street led to the arrest of two more people; a man aged 27 and a woman who is 38. Officers then seized 1.8 grams of meth, another 491 millilitres of GHB, drug paraphernalia, a taser and brass knuckles.

The four face a total of 14 charges.
