During the investigation more than two years ago, a number of firearms, a quantity of narcotics and some collectibles were seized and now Loon Lake RCMP are asking for the public’s help in finding the owners of a watch and coins seized.
The bust took place on March 27, 2020, and include:
– A significant collection of Canadian coins, including Royal Canadian Mint collector sets. Many of these coins appear to be from the 1980s, with some more recent special edition silver dollars.
– A collector set of British coins, which appear to be antique.
– A silver Montauk pocket watch, which appears to be antique.
Investigators believe the items likely originated in Saskatchewan or Alberta. They aren’t releasing photos because then they couldn’t validate who the actual owners may be. Anyone with information is asked to contact Loon Lake RCMP or Crime Stoppers. The watch has a personalized inscription and there is a photo in our online story in hopes someone can identify the inscription and claim the watch.
