There has been a recall of TUMS Peppermint Regular Strength tablets, packages of three rolls of 12 tablets.
The manufacturer, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, has initiated the recall and says it is contaminated with fragments of fiberglass and other material, including paper and aluminum foil.
The antacid tablets, if consumed, should pass through most people’s digestive systems with no concern; however, elderly people and people who have narrow areas in their intestines because of disease or surgery may be at risk of injury.
The recalled tablets were distributed across Canada on October 25th, 2022.
The affected product is lot HA7H, NPN 01970240.
