A man charged with manslaughter who had a Canada-wide warrant for being unlawfully at large has been located.
RCMP say it was a combined effort between the Saskatchewan RCMP Warrant Enforcement Team, La Ronge RCMP and the Saskatoon RCMP General Investigation Section.
Police allege 24-year-old Austin Bird was involved in the death of a restaurant owner in La Ronge, Simon Grant, in April of 2017.
He had been charged with manslaughter and was on statutory release, but was arrested on Tuesday.
RCMP say it was determined that Bird may have been in the La Ronge area, so a search was conducted in areas where he was known to frequent.
It was reported to police that he was at a home and officers located him there and arrested him without incident.
