Some of the things that you may never think about when crowning a king includes resizing the crown.
That’s exactly what is happening right now.
St. Edward’s Crown was made for King Charles II in 1661 and it will be the crown King Charles III wears during his coronation on May 6th at Westminster Abbey.
The Royal Family social media account indicates the Crown has been removed from the Tower of London to allow for resizing work to begin ahead of the Coronation.
They don’t indicate whether the crown needs to be made larger or smaller.
