Sesame street actor Bob McGrath has died at age 90 at his home in the U.S.

He was also known for his long association with Telemiracle in Saskatchewan, retiring in 2015 after almost 40 years with the fundraiser.

He did make a surprise visit at Telemiracle 42 in 2018.

“To everyone and the whole province for being incredibly generous for the past 42 years or so.” And he said he loved all the kids and that Telemiracle taught them how to give.

In 2006 he was awarded the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal for his contributions to the province, and a Distinguished Service Award in 2013 from then-premier Brad Wall.
