Investment in residential building construction fell 5.5 percent in Saskatchewan in October. Statistics Canada says it rose in only four provinces. The national average was a drop of 0.1 percent. Total investment in Saskatchewan amounted to $326.5 million.
It was a different story on the non-residential side with investment rising in six provinces, including Saskatchewan with an uptick of 3.1 percent. Investment here came in at $118.4 million. Across Canada investment rose on average, 0.9 percent.
