The Saskatoon Blades scored early, often and efficiently Saturday night as they bounced the Connor Bedard-less Pats 6-1 in Regina.
The Bridge City Bunch tallied on their first three shots on goal and, again, on their fifth as they built a 4-1 lead. The Blue and Gold then locked things down, not allowing the Pats a shot on goal in the second period, then added some third period insurance for their ninth straight win overall and sixth consecutive success on the road. The Blades are 24-5-0 for the season. Six different players scored goals. Forwards Conner Roulette (pictured) and Trevor Wong each added two assists to their markers, captain Aidan De La Gorgendiere and rookie forward Jordan Keller both had a goal and a helper while defenceman Tanner Molendyk and left winger Brandon Lisowsky each had a goal plus blueliner Charlie Wright chipped in a pair of assists. Ethan Chadwick won his seventh consecutive decision in goal, stopping 14 of 15 shots, losing his shutout in the first period on Easton Armstrong’s 5-on-3 power play tally. In the nine-game winning streak, Saskatoon has out-scored the opposition 52-20, including 31-9 in their last four successes. The arch-rival Prince Albert Raiders will try to trip up the Bridge City Bunch’s run when they visit SaskTel Centre on Tuesday, December 27 for “Teddy Bear Toss Night.” Following are the audio highlights from CJWW’s broadcast and Les Lazaruk’s Post-Game Show interview with head coach Brennan Sonne and the official game summary courtesy the W-H-L…..
