A hunter, who was separated from a group hunting caribou in a remote region about 100 kilometres north of Wollaston Lake, was located uninjured more than 22 hours after he had been last seen by his mates.

Wollaston Lake R-C-M-P received word at 5 a.m. on December 12 of the hunter, who had been separated from the group at about 4 p.m. on December 11. Assistance was requested by the R-C-M-P from the Canadian Rangers and the Civilian Air Search and Rescue Association. The searchers travelled to the male’s last known location with the Rangers, using snowmobiles, finding the lost hunter.
