King Stud Contracting Ltd. has pleaded guilty to an Occupational Health and Safety violation, which will cost the business in Hague a fine of $90,000 and a $36,000 surcharge, for a total of $126,000. The company pled guilty to failing to ensure a worker on a platform mounted on a forklift, which could be raised or lowered, uses a personal fall arrest system. Four other charges were stayed. The Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety says In Saskatoon on February 19th of 2021, a worker suffered serious injuries after falling from a work platform.
