If you know someone in Prince Albert you think has gone the extra mile, or sidewalk block, in clearing snow not only from in front of their own home but others as well, you can nominate them for the Golden Shovel Award.

The City of Prince Alber says nominees receive a golden shovel keychain and a letter from the Mayor thanking them on behalf of all residents, because shovelling the snow from the sidewalk helps your neighbour, but also all of the pedestrians who use the walk.

The nominee will also be entered into a draw for prizes.  You can nominate someone through the City of Prince Albert’s website.
