A 20-year-old woman is in custody following an incident yesterday (sat) where police used a conducted energy weapon.

The Saskatoon Police Service responded to a report of an attempted break-in by a female with a knife at a home at 7:04 a.m. in the 1600 block of 22nd Street West.

The suspect was located, and officers told her to drop the knife, but she refused. Police say while still holding the knife she started to move towards officers which is when the CEW was deployed.

The woman was taken into custody and there is no word on charges.
