There is a freezing rain warning impacting a region stretching from Kindersley, Rosetown, Biggar, through Outlook Hanley, down the west side of the province to Cypress Hills and as far east along the Trans Canada to the Manitoba border.

A low-pressure system developing in Alberta will spread freezing rain ahead of a warm front. Freezing rain will develop in western sections of the province this morning, spreading into Regina early this afternoon, then to the Manitoba border by late afternoon.

Some areas under the freezing rain warning including Regina and sections of the Trans-Canada highway will see more than 6 hours of freezing precipitation

A snowfall warning is in effect for Humboldt, Wynyard, Wadena, Lanigan, Foam Lake, Kamsack, Canora, Preeceville, Yorkton, Melville, Esterhazy and north from La Ronge to Pelican Narrows.

Snowfall with total amounts of about 10 cm is expected. A storm system bringing freezing rain to much of southern Saskatchewan today will bring heavy snow to parts of the grainbelt including much of the Yellowhead highway tonight.

Snow or ice pellets are expected to begin early this evening and continue through the night, with total accumulations near 10 cm expected by Wednesday morning.
