It was expected that the trial dates would be set for a woman charged with abducting her son, fraud and identity theft would be set today (Thurs), but that didn’t happen in Saskatoon Provincial Court Thursday morning. However, Dawn Walker did enter a plea of not guilty.

On Tuesday, she elected to have her case tried by judge alone and she waived her right to a preliminary hearing.

Walker and her son were reported missing last July and then her truck and some belongings were found at Chief Whitecap Park. They were located about two weeks later in Oregon.

Along with abduction, Walker’s charges include forging a passport, possession of forged documents, identify theft and identity fraud. The United States Department of Homeland Security has also charged her with using a false passport and possession of stolen identification. She is back in court on February 16th.
