Saskatoon Police used Naloxone to revive a 17-year old who was arrested very early Thursday morning.
Police say the male youth and a 15-year-old girl were in a vehicle that had been reported stolen. Officers attempted to pull over the vehicle around 1am in a parking lot at 22nd Street and Avenue W North.
The vehicle sped away westbound on 22nd Street. It was a found a short time later—stuck in the snow in an alley-way in the 100 block of Tache Crescent.
Police indicate a search of the vehicle recovered an axe, a baton and a brass knuckle type weapon.
Shortly after being taken into custody, the 17-year old became unresponsive. Officers learned he may have consumed an intoxicant prior to his arrest and that is when the Naloxone was administered. He was transported by ambulance to hospital in stable condition.
The youth is facing several charges.
