A Water Treatment Program for Indigenous learners is accepting students for the next session being offered February 13th to April 14th. Ahead of this, there is an information this afternoon at the Cosmo Civic Centre Theatre which begins at 1. The program was first offered in 2019.

Indigenous learners can gain essential skills of the trade and access opportunities in water treatment and distribution facilities. A news release from the City says trained employees who can operate and maintain water and waste systems to provide clean drinking water are needed in Saskatoon and in Indigenous communities across the province. This program is a collaborative effort between the City of Saskatoon, Gabriel Dumont Institute, Radius Community Centre, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, and the Saskatoon Tribal Council.
