The Guns and Gangs Unit has wrapped up a firearms investigation with the arrest of an armed man.
The Saskatoon Police Service says around 7:30 p.m.on Thursday police saw a man believed to be in possession of a firearm walking in the 100 block of 25th Street West.
After issuing verbal commands, the man was arrested without incident.
Police say he was equipped with tactical body armour and in possession of a loaded sawed-off shotgun, various ammunition, and a small quantity of crystal meth; all items were seized.
A 31-year-old Saskatoon man is facing several firearm- and drug-related charges.
