A man facing more than 30 charges in Regina in connection to auto thefts in that city is also believed connected to a myriad of crimes in Saskatoon and Moose Jaw and the investigation has led to 22-year-old Kaleb Braden Ryder of Regina facing charges from all three jurisdictions that include Theft of Auto, Break and Enter and weapons offences.
On January 22nd, Patrol and Canine Units in Regina in connection to an investigation into criminal activity, located and arrested Kaleb Ryder at an address in Regina. On Thursday, the Regina Police Service Property Crimes and Stolen Auto units concluded a 4-month investigation stemming from a rash of auto thefts, which led to Ryder and another laundry list of charges.
In addition, arrest warrants were executed on Ryder on behalf of the Saskatoon and Moose Jaw Police.
Kaleb Braden RYDER, of Regina, was charged January 22nd with:
Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized – 92(1) C.C.,
Possession of a prohibited or Restricted Firearm with ammunition – 95(1)(A) C.C.,
3 counts – Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order – 117.01(1) C.C., and
Fail to Comply with a condition of a release order – 145(5)(A) C.C.
On Thursday the 26th of January 2023 he was charged with:
7 X Possession of stolen auto over $5000 – 355(A) C.C.,
2 X Possession of stolen auto under $5000 – 355(B) C.C.,
Carrying concealed weapon – 90 C.C.,
Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device or ammunition in a motor vehicle – 94(1) C.C.,
Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized – 92(1) C.C.,
Careless use of firearm, weapon, prohibited Device or ammunition – 86(1) C.C.,
2 X Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition order – 117.01(1) C.C.,
2 X Failure to stop after accident – 320.16(1) C.C.,
Resist arrest – 129(A) C.C.,
Fraud under $5000 – 380(1)(B) C.C., and
8 X Fail to comply with condition of a release order – 145(5)(A) C.C.
