The NDP is launching a provincial tour tomorrow to find solutions for the healthcare crisis in Saskatchewan.
Opposition Health Critic Vicki Mowat says, “our hospital and the people working in them are hanging on by a thread.” She says if a solution doesn’t come to light immediately other provinces will keep taking Saskatchewan’s health care workers.
The Healthcare Solutions tour will go to various communities and cities across Saskatchewan to find solutions from healthcare professionals and community leaders.
Rural and Remote Health Critic Matt Love says the Sask. Party’s current plan involving recruitment and more schooling opportunities is not enough to fix it. He says doctors, nurses and those actually in health care are coming forward with real solutions but the Moe government isn’t listening.
The Healthcare Solutions Tour begins Thursday in Cupar, Southey, and Saskatoon.
Through this tour, the NDP wants to create a reasonable plan of solutions to present to Sask. Party government.
