A 14 year old boy is facing charges after the driver of a stolen vehicle refused to stop for police. Around 8:30 last night (sun), a Saskatoon police officer spotted a truck stolen from Rosthern at 25th Street and Idylwyld Drive. The driver refused to stop and the pursuit was called off because of public safety concerns. However, officers found the vehicle again several minutes later and used a tire deflation device to flatten two tires. The truck limped along before hitting a parked vehicle on Vancouver Avenue South. Police say the driver tried to run off but was located nearby and arrested. An imitation firearm was allegedly found in the vehicle. The teen faces several charges including Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace.
