If you’ve been thinking about going to see Connor Bedard (pictured) and the Regina Pats play the Saskatoon Blades in seven weeks time, don’t dawdle too much in getting your tickets!
Blades’ Director of Business Operations Tyler Wawryk said Thursday afternoon that interest in and ticket sales for the Pats and Saskatoon at SaskTel Centre on March 19 and 24 increased after the World Junior Championship as Bedard starred for gold medal-winning Canada. In the wake of selling out in Red Deer on Tuesday and drawing over 17,000 fans into the Saddledome Wednesday night in Calgary, Wawryk says more than 8,000 tickets have been sold for March 19 and over 6,000 have been snapped up for the 24th, adding that it’s not a dream to sell-out one or both games, which would break the attendance record for a Blades’ home game. On February 9, 2013, the 25th anniversary of SaskTel Centre, attendance was 12,588 for a Saskatoon home game against the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Following is Les Lazaruk’s complete conversation with Tyler Wawryk…..
