Ward 3 Councillor David Kirton has cancelled a “Coffee with the Councillor” session over safety concerns.
It was to have been held this Saturday afternoon at Confederation Mall. In a social media post, Kirton states overs the past several days he has received threatening telephone calls and emails. Those communications have become a “cause for concern” and based on outside advice, he has decided not to hold public session—saying he does not want to be responsible for any security concerns. Kirton completed the post by saying constituents can still contact him by phone or email.
